Jems Glasgow Hotel Guide

I am often asked about hotel recommendations in Glasgow, naturally I visited a few them lol I decided a blog would be a good idea to write my thoughts on recommondations, ones too avoid etc Firstly I would say never book directly with the hotel, there is always better deals to be found online and sites like laterooms, ebooker etc may have rooms available even if the hotel tell you they're full.

Good Hotels

All Hotels in a way serve a simple purpose ie a room with a bed in it. No matter how much the hotel costs per night they all have this one basic function. Why pay £200 for a room when you can get an equally nice one for £50 leaving plenty of change for more Jem time!

So here is my list of perfectly pleasant city centre hotels:

Avoid/You could do better

Now we know the reason I visit hotels so included in the list will be Hotels that arent "escort friendly". I also keep in mind the majority of gentlemen I meet will actually be spending at least one night in these hotels so they not so pleasant ones will also be included

Etap Hotel - It's cheap for a reason, basicly a hostel, metail furniture (bunk beds) and cardboard walls!

Hampton Court Hotel - Renfrew street - dont be fooled by its rather beautifull exterior its nasty inside!

Brunswick hotel - Merchant City - dont be fooled by its address like walking into a student accomodation!

Premier inns Glasgow city centre (think there is 3?) At least 2 only allow access to lifts with rooms keys so not the most discrete and they're freezing! lol

I also refuse too visit the Malmaison Glasgow, it is not escort friendly

Jurys Inn Rennie Macintosh Station Hotel Thistle Hotel Alexander Thompson Marks Hotel Novotel McLays Guest House I'll update as I go...

An Alternative to Hotels for long bookings

If you are planning a long booking of a few hours to an overnight or even the whole weekend, did you know you can book gorgeous city centre apartments at hotel rates?

There is plenty too choose from in Glasgow and I have stayed in Glasgow Lofts and City Apartments (part of City Hotel)
